The AEC-Q200-compliant LQW21FT_0H series have inductance values from 0.47µH to 2µH and are designed for the in-vehicle PoC circuit of SerDes-based interfacing. Current ratings are between 1A and 0.45A.

The inductors use ceramic material and coil technology to deliver broadband impedance and high current performance. They are housed in a compact 0805 inch case size, measuring 2.0 x 1.2 x 1.6mm.

The broadband impedance levels contribute to its saturation properties. The heightened operating temperatures that these inductors can support makes them attractive for automotive implementation (reaching up to 125°C).

As the automotive industry moves towards autonomous driving, the number of built-in cameras featured in vehicle models will increase, and PoC for in-vehicle applications will rise as they mean significant reductions in cabling weight by transmitting imaging data and electrical power over one coaxial cable,” said Uwe Mirschberger, product manager EMI – filters, inductors, at Murata Europe.

“Keeping the power and data signals separate from one another is of course vital to PoC implementations, and LQW21FT_0H’s broad frequency characteristics help to reduce the number of inductors needed for this purpose. . . . . Consequently, engineers will be able to streamline their designs by saving space and reducing the total DC resistance too,” he added.
