Cost- and space-sensitive design is chosed for 130W AC/DCs
The RACM130E-K series is aimed at applications that are cost-sensitive but which still require high performance and high levels of safety certification, advises the company. The power supplies operate from 85 to 264V AC with tightly regulated single outputs including 12, 15, 24, 36 and 48V DC, providing 130W output power peak, or continuously with airflow. Efficiency is high, around 90% which is maintained down to light loads for ErP compliance.

No-load losses are less than 200mW at 230Vac. Safety certifications include 2MOPP/250V AC medical for B or BF applications to IEC/EN/ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1, as well as IEC/EN 62368-1, IEC/EN 60335-1 and IEC/EN 61558-1 for industrial, test and measurement, IT and household use. They are also certified for operation up to 4,000m altitude. On-board dual input fusing is included. EN 55032/35 Class B EMC emissions limits are met with a good margin, says the company and the parts are suitable for installation in surge Class 3 and Over-Voltage Category OVC III environments. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 90°C with derating.

The RACM130E-K series is available as an open card 2”x4” and with an optional metallic enclosure.

Michael Schrutka, Recom’s AC/DC product manager comments that this latest addition means the company can offer even more power from the tiny AC/DC footprint while maintaining performance and comprehensive safety certification. “Our versatile and cost-effective RACM130E-K is perfect for a wide variety of applications,” he adds.

Samples and OEM pricing are available from all authorised distributors or directly from RECOM.
