Modules target low power motor drives in white goods
Integrated and compact the IPMs can be used in fans, pumps, air purifiers and refrigerator compressor drives. The µIPM-DIP family is available in a 12 x 29mm SOP/DIP. There are 32 devices with rugged, high-voltage FredFET MOSFETs specifically optimised for variable frequency drives with voltage ratings of 250 or 500V. The devices are paired with the company’s high-voltage driver IC tuned to achieve optimal balance between EMI and switching losses. They offer DC current ratings up to 4.6A to drive motors up to 150W without a heatsink and are available in both through-hole and surface mount package options. The modules have been added to the company’s iMOTION design platform which integrates digital, analogue and power technologies in a mixed signal chipset to simplify energy-efficient, cost-effective, motor control designs.
