Vishay Intertechnology introduces direct replacement wireless charging coils

The powdered iron based, Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) -compliant wireless charging coils are offered as direct replacements for devices for which end-of-life (EOL) was announced in 2017. The Vishay Dale receiver and transmitter coils are a durable construction and have high permeability shielding. They are available in a variety of industry standard sizes.

For wireless charging up to 10W in portable electronics, the six receiver coils feature inductance of 10.8 to 22µH at 200kHz with ±5% inductance tolerance. They also offer typical Q from 29 to 65 at 200kHz and DCR from 175 to 427mΩ (±5%) at 25°C.

There are three transmitters for Qi wireless charging pads. They offer inductance of 6.3 to 24µH at 200kHz with a ±5% inductance tolerance and DCR from 40 to 75mΩ (±5%) at 25°C. Typical Q is from 185 to 200 at 200kHz. The transmitter coils are available with heat rated current of 6.0 and 7.0A and saturation current of 20 and 22A.

Samples and production quantities of the wireless charging coils are available now, with lead times of 12 weeks.
