DC/DC converters adjust output for broadcast equipment

They can deliver up to 14A output current and operate over a 9V to 40V input.  Power density is 427W/in3 and the supply is packaged in an industry standard 1/16th brick form factor.

They can be used for creating additional high current output voltages from a single output 12 or 24V AC/DC supply power supply in medical, communications, industrial, test and measurement, broadcast and portable equipment.

The compact, PCB-mount converters measure 33 x 22.9 x 12.7mm and offer efficiencies of up to 98%. Ambient operating temperature is -40 to 125°C. The thermal design allows for minimal output de-rating, even with low airflow and high ambient temperature conditions, says the company. The dynamic voltage response reduces the need for external capacitors.

Standard features include a trim pin for output voltage adjustment, remote sense, remote on-off (positive or negative logic), input under-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection. Power good, operating frequency synchronisation and output sequencing are available as an option.

Safety certification includes IEC/EN 60950-1 and UL/CSA 60950-1.
