Modular supplies from TDK-Lambda use patented loop control design

SA modules have been added to the 550 to 2,000W QM series of AC/DC modular power supplies. They are available with 5.0V /15A, 12V /12.5A, 15V /10A and 24V /6.25A outputs.

The patented loop control design uses a digital controller and in-house developed algorithms. Phase mode control provides high stability across a range of operating conditions to enhance the output response to sudden load changes, with a fast recovery. A digital controller enables a 40% reduction in component count.

The company offers an online Quick Product Finder which will automatically optimise the most suitable modules for a customer requirement. It also provides a choice of signals, leakage current and standby voltages. Entering the desired output voltages and currents, the configurator will automatically produce a short seven-digit code for easy order placement.

All models in the QM series feature low acoustic noise and full means of patient protection (MOPP) isolation. The supplies have medical and industrial safety certifications, including BF rated medical equipment, test and measurement, broadcast, communications and renewable energy applications. The supplies are certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60601-1, ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1, IEC/EN 61010-1 and IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1 with CE marking for the low voltage, EMC and RoHS directives.
