DC/DC module is turnkey solution for high current use

Intersil has introduced the ISL8240M, a dual 20A/single 40A step-down power module that delivers up to 100W of output power in a 29mm² footprint. It provides, says the company, a turnkey DC/DC converter solution for high current applications. It is pin-to-pin compatible with the company’s ISL8225M 30A power module and offers a high level of flexibility, enabling a single PCB design across platforms. The module is also capable of delivering up to 240A output when six modules in parallel operation are current shared. Input voltage range covers 4.5 to 20V and adjustable output ranges from 0.6 to 2.5V.

Evaluation kits, the ISL8240MEVAL3Z and ISL8240MEVAL4Z are also available.
