Half brick DC/DC converters have input and housing options
Offered in open-frame and fully enclosed versions, the H0331 DC/DC converters can be housed in industry standard half brick packages format, with either 24 or 48V DC input buses. They can be incorporated, says Powerstax, within industrial, telecommunications and data networking systems. The power densities reach 10.3W/cm3, to effectively maximise the output power delivered in space constrained systems designs, claims the company. They provide output levels of 336W/21A and the ultra-low leakage inductance magnetics allow power efficiency figures of between 88% and 90%, depending on operating conditions. The multi-layer, single side PCB construction, with aluminium based sink-plate technology, is claimed to facilitates rapid dissipation of heat, which improves reliability - MTBF is 4.1Mhrs. The DC/DC converter is available in both open-frame and fully enclosed options. The series complies with IEC60950-1 and EN 61000 standards. Operating temperature range is -50 to 110°C.
