Bourns Introduces 21-Model TVS Diode Series that Delivers a Wide Peak Voltage Range for Additional Design Flexibility
Bourns, a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, has announced it has introduced its SMLJ-R Series Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes.

The company says designed with high performance energy absorption and clamping capabilities that provide effective Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection for sensitive electronics, this new series is available in compact DO-214AB packaging with unidirectional and bi-directional options. The capabilities and packaging offered make these TVS Diodes superior surge protection solutions for portable communications, computing and video equipment applications.

The Bourns SMLJ-R Series TVS Diodes provide additional design flexibility with a choice of working peak reverse voltage from 12 V to 30 V and a power dissipation of 3000 watts. Designers can also select from 13 unidirectional part numbers and eight part numbers with bi-directional structures. The series has also been tested to comply with IEC 61000-4-2 ESD (Min. Level 4), IEC 61000-4-4 EFT and IEC 61000-4-5 Surge standards.

Bourns says its SMLJ-R Series TVS Diodes are available now through its authorised distribution partners and are RoHS* compliant.
