Stackpole Current Sense Resistor Combines High, 5 Watt Power Rating with Low Thermal Stress
Achieving high power density in compact electronic designs presents significant engineering challenges. Stackpole says its CSSU2512 current sense resistor addresses these demands with an impressive 5-watt power rating in a standard 2512 footprint. Its robust all-metal construction and advanced thermally conductive design substantially lower thermal resistance, effectively reducing thermal stress on adjacent components and the PCB.

The CSSU2512, operating at 5 W, achieves thermal performance on par with other 2512-size current sense chips rated at just 3 W, providing outstanding stability and reliability for applications requiring high power density.
Available in resistance values from 1 to 10 mΩ, with 1% tolerance and a 50 ppm temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR), the AEC-compliant CSSU2512 offers exceptional durability and consistent performance in demanding environments.
