Anritsu and MediaTek Verify AI Acceleration Technology with Radio Communication Test Station MT8000A
ANRITSU CORPORATION and MediaTek have announced they have successfully verified the AI QoS and AI L4S Technologies featured in MediaTek’s T930 5G CPE platform by using Anritsu’s Radio Communication Test Station MT8000A.

By establishing an end-to-end connection between the client and the game server through the CPE and the MT8000A, the setup recreates a cloud gaming environment. Within this scenario, the companies were able to verify the low-latency performance delivered by the AI Acceleration technology.

MediaTek’s Intelligent CPE with AI QoS and AI L4S is an advanced latency compensation technology that significantly enhances the user experience in latency-sensitive applications such as online gaming. As advanced 5G and future 6G technologies become foundational to the evolution of online gaming, XR, drone/remote control, and live commerce, this technology is expected to play a key role.

Anritsu supports verification of this functionality with the Radio Communication Test Station MT8000A, a solution designed for R&D of mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, IoT modules, and chipsets. It supports a wide range of technologies - including 5G NR (FR1/FR2), NR NTN, and LTE - while offering user-friendly measurement functions that enable efficient RF calibration and testing within a single instrument. With the release of new RF hardware card inside MT8000A, the platform is now 6G-ready, supporting FR3 (up to 16 GHz).

At the MediaTek booth at MWC 2026, a demo video of the AI Acceleration technology was showcased. Using the MT8000A to simulate a cloud-gaming scenario, the video demonstrated how this technology enhanced the user experience.
